Kerry W. Monson, FACHE

Mr. Monson has 20 years of healthcare experience as both a hospital executive and healthcare consultant. His background includes positions as vice president of operations at a 340-bed urban teaching hospital, assistant vice president at a 400-bed suburban hospital, and a consulting manager with both Arthur Andersen LLP and the Illinois Hospital Association. This range of experience allows Kerry to understand how best to achieve the successful collaboration between consultant and client.

As a hospital executive, he focused upon initiating new services across the care continuum and improving departmental financial performance. Kerry led the team that brought neonatology services to his community, helped implement and manage an outpatient surgery center within the hospital, and was responsible for developing a 120-bed long-term care facility from CON preparation through construction management. Kerry’s understanding of how planning projects get implemented and realized makes him an invaluable resource to our clients. His consulting experience focuses on medical staff development planning, strategic facility planning, program development, and hospital system operational integration. His clients range from small community hospitals to tertiary teaching hospitals, medical schools, and medical products manufacturers. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has been an active volunteer or board member of many human service and religious organizations. Kerry has a Master’s Degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
